Kosta Browne
Over the years, RDH Creative has worked on a range of design, illustration and fabrication projects in collaboration with Kosta Browne winery in Sebastopol, CA.
Kosta Browne is committed to innovation and pushing boundaries—and that spirit guided the creation of this large-scale, multi-layered map of California. The installation captures the state’s diverse geography through hand-drawn, stylized topographic lines. Crafted from wood, steel, and brass, the map blends traditional handcraft with machine precision and laser-cut techniques. The result is a bold, tactile display that tells the story of Kosta Browne’s premier growing regions.
The fabricated map of California inspired us to design other maps highlighting additional growing regions. These maps were used for printed materials and as an interactive map featured on their website.
These illustrations were inspired during a site visit to an estate vineyard in Northern California. The idea was to capture the life and energy from that region, creating a sense of place. The illustrations were printed in a leather bound journal and offered to members to take notes during wine tastings.
